• The Family is an international Christian fellowship comprised of over 90 nationalities. Membership is open to all, regardless of race, colour, gender or age.
• There are presently around 6,000 full-time members worldwide. Approximately 60,000 associate members also participate in our activities and/or receive our literature.
• Family members seek to spread the Good News of the love of Jesus, and to serve God by helping those in need in practical ways.
• The Family is a home-based movement. Fellowships and meetings are usually held in private homes.
• Full-time members live in communal homes. Each community is run autonomously by its members, following the general guidelines within our governing Charter.
• Each home initiates, organises and raises support for the particular social, volunteer and missionary projects they wish to pursue. They may adopt a local project name or register as a legal entity.
• The Family’s unconventional lifestyle has been the subject of a number of studies and publications.

The Family believes . . .

… that God sent His only begotten Son, Jesus, into the world. Those who receive Jesus as their Saviour will go to Heaven when they die. This “salvation” is a gift of God which cannot be earned, only received. We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God. We believe that we are living in the period that the Bible calls the Last Days. We believe that God still speaks today and will give help, guidance and encouragement if we ask Him. We believe that we should keep the commandments Jesus gave, to “love God” and to “love our neighbour as ourselves” (The Bible, Matthew 22:37-40).
